I spent this week in London attending the first part INE CCIE R&S 10days  bootcamp with Brian Dennis . I stay in London for the weekend to review some topics and be ready for the second part next week.

The bootcamp runs from 9AM to 8PM and it’s all hands on, no videos, no slides, no workbook to follow line-by-line, there are just Brian, the console and the diagrams he does on the fly to explain the topology and the processes involved.

Compared to other training this formula really works and makes the difference. Brian likes to say that the CCIE exam is not about commands but about the thought process. I have no problem to admit that I failed my first lab attempt because I knew the commands but missed the overall view necessary to complete all the tasks. I really think that this is the biggest lesson I’m learning this week and I’ll change my study method accordingly.

Now it’s time for some technical reading to be ready for the next week .
