‘I would like to be a great aikido fighter,’ he said. ‘But I think I should also devote myself to judo, so that I am familiar with many different styles of fighting. That is the only way I can become the best.’
His teacher replied:
‘If a man goes into a field and starts running after two foxes at the same time, there will come a moment when the foxes will go their separate ways, and the man will be left not knowing which one to pursue. While he is pondering the problem, the foxes will be far away and he will have wasted both his time and his energy.
Anyone who wants to become a master must choose just ONE thing in which to become an expert.

La nascita del Pistolero

Scritto da Stephen King e ispirato alla serie "La Torre Nera" è uscito anche in Italia il fumetto di "Gunslinger Born", ovvero "La nascita del pistolero" (in inglese suona nettamente meglio!). Ho letto la serie dei 7 (sette!) libri della Torre nera un paio d'anni fa, letteralmente divorando le pagine ad orari improponibili.

Ci sono molti tools utilissimi per chi lavora nel'ambito del networking; in genere li scopro tramite passaparola di amici/colleghi o tramite i blogs tipo BrokenPipes di Himawan e CiscoBlog del mitico Jeremy Cioara. Mi son ripromesso più volte di creare una pagina sul mio sito coi migliori tools, non tanto per un servizio di "pubblica utilità" quanto come riferimento personale quando cambio lavoro o computer (cose che di solito coincidono come 3 settimane fa). Facendola breve, come dice il titolo, segnalo TFTPD32: Tftpd32 includes DHCP, TFTP, SNTP and Syslog servers as well as a TFTP client.
